Memb-CAP presented at Sardinia 2025
Project coordinator Kubra Ulucan-Altuntas presented the project's work on functionalized PAN-derived carbon nanofiber membranes for PFAS removal at the 20th International Symposium on Waste Management, Resource Recovery and Sustainable Landfilling.
Sardinia — the International Symposium on Waste Management, Resource Recovery and Sustainable Landfilling — is one of the longest-running international symposia in the waste and resource recovery field, marking its 20th edition in 2025. The presentation introduced Memb-CAP's approach to PFAS removal from aqueous solutions: functionalized, PAN-derived carbon nanofiber membranes designed to capture and pre-concentrate PFAS ahead of the project's cold-plasma degradation step.
The talk was delivered on behalf of the full project team, and is listed in full under Publications.
