Memb-CAP at IFAT Eurasia 2025

IFAT Eurasia 2025 was visited to explore recent developments in water and wastewater treatment technologies, together with fellow MSCA fellows Hamid Rehman and Hassan Mahdi, and MSc student Uğurcan Sulubulut.

IFAT Eurasia 2025, held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center on 15–17 May 2025, was visited to explore recent developments in water and wastewater treatment technologies. Technical discussions were held with various companies on membrane filtration, water reuse, mixing equipment, online sensors, process control, and waste management systems. The visit was made together with fellow MSCA fellows Hamid Rehman and Hassan Mahdi, and MSc student Uğurcan Sulubulut.

Membrane and water recovery solutions offered by companies such as AGT Water Treatment Technologies, Blue Foot Membranes, Memsis, Ökotek/NX Filtration, Kazancı Çevre and OriginWater were examined. Submersible mixers, agitators, and impeller systems presented by Sulzer, HOMA, and ANDRITZ representatives were also discussed, particularly regarding energy efficiency and their use in biological treatment tanks.

Online monitoring and analytical instruments supplied by Hach Lange and other sensor manufacturers were reviewed. In addition, information was obtained about dosing, disinfection, electrolysis-based treatment, and advanced oxidation technologies. Exitcom's solutions for electronic waste management, recycling, and resource recovery were also explored.

The visit provided an opportunity to compare different environmental technologies and evaluate their potential applications in efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment and waste management systems.
