"Science, She Says!" award, Naples
Project coordinator Kubra Ulucan-Altuntas received the "Science, She Says!" award, an annual recognition for foreign women in scientific research, presented by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The award was presented at a conference for scientific, space and agricultural attachés held in Naples, with the ceremony itself hosted at the historic Capodimonte Observatory. "Science, She Says!" is awarded annually to foreign women researchers working in Italy or in scientific collaboration with Italian institutions, alongside the "Bilateral Scientific Cooperation" and "Innovation That Speaks Italian" award categories.
Kubra Ulucan-Altuntas was recognised for her work in environmental engineering and sustainable water treatment technologies — the research programme that underpins Memb-CAP — alongside four other award recipients from different countries and research fields.
